Welcome!
Billings Catholic Schools is partnering with Cushing Terrell to create a long-term Master Plan for our campuses — and we need your input to help shape that future.
Why Your Feedback Matters
We’re looking at how to best use and improve our existing facilities, where upgrades or renovations are most needed, and how we can plan responsibly for future growth. Your insights will help us understand what supports today’s teaching and learning, and what should be prioritized moving forward.
What We’ve Already Explored
BCS and Cushing Terrell have completed several early studies, including:
- A high-level estimate for a new 95,000 sq ft new high school on the Colton campus.
- For context: a new high school was estimated at $83.5 million in 2024. With typical construction escalation (about 5% per year), that cost rises to roughly $112 million by 2030. This helps illustrate that large all‑new buildings may not be financially feasible — but strategic upgrades, renovations, and phased improvements are very achievable paths forward.
- A high-level estimate and conceptual planning effort for a potential remodel and addition to the current BCCHS facility.
- For context: A remodel and addition to the existing BCCHS building was estimated in 2025 at $21 million – $26 million. (Applying a 5% annual escalation rate through 2030 = $27 million – $33 million.)
- Early pricing development for a proposed 41,000 sf Colton Campus Multipurpose Activities Center
- For context: The Colton Campus Activities Center is envisioned as a multipurpose facility supporting athletics, events, and community functions for all Billings Catholic Schools. It replaces space lost from the remodel/retrofit of the BCCHS auxiliary gym and accommodates future expansion needs. Initial 2025 cost modeling estimated a range of $22.4 million – $27.5 million (Applying a 5% annual escalation rate through 2030 = $28.5 million – $35 million.)
